Capital Option, established in 2011, is a binary option broker that trades under the brand name of Trademarker Cyprus Ltd, a Cyprus Investment Firma Cyprus Investment firm. It is located in Limassol and is licensed and authorized by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) as well as by Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID).

The company’s platform is designed to accommodate traders of all levels, no matter what their investing experience. Capital Option offers a range of over 100 assets and offers up to an 85% return if a trade is profitable.

Accounts

There doesn’t seem to be different account types so we can assume there is one standard trading account. No features were provided except that the minimum deposit into a trading account is $5.00.

A demo account for newbie traders is offered.

Trading contract types at Capital Option include Classic Binaries, 60 Seconds, Long Term, One Touch, Pairs and Ladder.

Traders can earn payouts as high as 85%. For those with higher appetite for risk, they can opt to trade One Touch contracts whose returns go up to as high as a few hundred percent.

Education

At the Capital Option Academy, traders can choose from a host of different lessons, read the e-book and watch training videos on several unique topics such as ‘Are you an Emotional Trader?’, Trading as an Art Form’ and others.

Webinars are listed on the site but only the archived ones are available and the date of the last one is March, 2014.

There is a short FAQ section but news reports or any analysis is missing. There is also no economic calendar of any online calculators.

Deposits/Withdrawals         

Capital Option offers a variety of payment methods to fund a trading account including credit cards direct bank transfers and a choice of online payment programs.

Withdrawals are made using the same methods as the deposit.

Most of the pages of the Capital Option website are posted in several languages: English, Arabic, Polish, French, German and Chinese.

Traders can contact a Capital Option representative by email, or telephone to their Limassol office. There is also an online form that can be filled out and sent in and Chat is also available.

Conclusion

On the whole, CapitalOption shows potential to thrive.  In terms of their product offerings as well as the quality of their services, they seem to be fine. However, the website is rather scant in substance and much information is missing. For experienced traders, this may not be a drawback but for new or inexperienced traders, it presents a definite problem. In addition, there are no bonuses or promotions and only one standard trading account.

Features

The features at Capital Option are standard and the only one that stands out from the rest is the use of the SpotOption platform which is one of the most powerful platforms in the binary option industry. Not much description is provided regarding this platform and its benefits but the fact that it is so popular with other brokers is a sign of its many attractive benefits. The educational Academy also stands out with a host of lessons, videos and ebooks.

Platforms

SpotOption

Not much information is provided regarding the trading platforms used for placing trades. The only platform offers is the one powered by SpotOption which is a popular choice by online brokers.

The platform offered by Capital Option is significantly more advanced than the standard SpotOption platform in terms of features as the platform is actually the 2nd generation SpotOption Platform and not the slightly outdated first generation platform.

With this platform, traders have the ability to execute more complex trading strategies like “Ladder” trades with just a click of the mouse. In addition, traders now also have the ability to pit the performance of one asset against another through the newly available “Pairs” trades. The expiry times for some options are also significantly extended to cover scenarios up to one month into the future.

Additional features include Buy Me Out, Double Up and Rollover options.

Mobile

Capital Option offers Mobile Apps on iPhone and Android where traders can execute trades whenever they wish and from wherever they are.
